MABELLEarts is driven by our love of people and fascination with neglected and forgotten places. We make art and build environments that foster community regeneration and invention. We cultivate long-term relationships that reveal the transformative possibilities within each unique site, neighbourhood and community. We celebrate cultural traditions, differences and points of connection that help spark collaboration as a creative force for change. We reframe existing social and environmental conditions to make space for new ways of being together.
Beginning with individual stories, memories, personal histories, neighbourhood geographies and cultural identities and traditions, Mabelle artists work with community members of all ages and backgrounds to create work in a variety of disciples including textile, environmental and research-based visual art, site-specific performance and public art.
Staff and Board
Involving over seventy professional artists, architects, gardeners and builders, MABELLEarts has worked with thousands of Etobicoke residents of all ages and backgrounds to create public art, performance, free art workshops, culinary arts, gardening and landscape architecture all as part of our diverse inter-arts practice.
At MABELLEarts, we transform neglected, forgotten parks in low-income neighbourhoods into creative hubs and meeting places for thousands of neighbours and friends through inclusive community arts programming. We are now gearing up to launch a new project in a new place. But we need your help to do it.
